Relations And Memories Are Worth More Than Money

SON: “Daddy, may I ask you a question?”
DAD: “Yeah sure, what is it?”

SON: “Daddy, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “That’s none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?”

SON: “I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?”
DAD: “If you must know, I make $100 an hour.”

SON: “Oh! (With his head down).
SON: “Daddy, may I please borrow $50?”

The father was furious.

DAD: “If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such this childish behavior.”

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.
The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy’s questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?
After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and started to think:
Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $ 50 and he really didn’t ask for money very often. The man went to the door of the little boy’s room and opened the door.

DAD: “Are you asleep, son?”
SON: “No daddy, I’m awake”.

DAD: “I’ve been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier. It’s been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here’s the $50 you asked for.”

The little boy sat straight up, smiling.
SON: “Oh, thank you daddy!”
Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills. The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

DAD: “Why do you want more money if you already have some?”
SON: “Because I didn’t have enough, but now I do.

“Daddy, I have $100 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.”

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness. It’s just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $100 worth of your time with someone you love? If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family.

Some things are more important than others. ♥

When He Gives, He Gives Us More And Beyond Our Expectations

A boy went to a shop with his mother.

The shop keeper looked at the small cute child and showed him a bottle with sweets and said ‘Dear Child..u can take the sweets…

But the child didn’t take.

The shop keeper was surprised.. such a child he is and why is he not taking the sweets from the bottle. Again he said take the sweets…

Now the mother also heard that and said.. take the sweets dear..
Yet he didn’t take…

The shopkeeper seeing the child not taking the sweets… he himself took the sweets and gave to the child.

The child was happy to get two hands full of sweets.

While returning home the Mother asked the child…

Why didn’t you take the sweets, when the shop keeper told you to take?…

Can you guess the response:

Child replies… Mom! my hands are very small and if i take the sweets i can only take few.. but now you see when uncle gave with his big hands…. how many more sweets i got!

When we take we may get little but when God gives… HE gives us more beyond our expectations… more than what we can hold..!!

The Elephant Rope

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.
He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”
The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.
Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?
Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.

Son’s Last Letter To His Mom

Will being tears in your eyes :(

I went to a party Mom, I remembered what you said.
U told me not to drink, Mom,So I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom, The way you said I would.
I didn’t drink and drive, Mom, Even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom, As everyone is driving out of sight.

As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I’d get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, So responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom, But as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn’t see me, Mom, And hit me like a load.:(

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say,
“The other guy is drunk,” Mom, And now I’m the one who will pay.

I’m lying here dying, Mom…. I wish you’d get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom, And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom, I’ll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn’t drink.
It was the others, Mom. The others didn’t think.

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank And I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I’m feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, And I don’t think it’s fair.
I’m lying here dying And all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom, Put “GOOD BOY ” on my grave.

Someone should have told him, Mom, Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom. I’m becoming very scared.
Please don’t cry for me, Mom. When I needed you, you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom. Before I say good bye.
I didn’t drink and drive, So why am I the one to die?

Did You read he said,
“Someone should have told him, Mom”.

After Reading this letter few have quit drinking and many have quit habit of “DRINK & DRIVE”.

Your Life Is Not A Coincidence. It’s A Reflection Of You!

Your Life Is Not A Coincidence. It’s A Reflection Of You!

A son and his father were walking on the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain:”AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!”

Curious, he yells: “Who are you?” He receives the answer: “Who are you?” Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!

“He receives the answer: “Coward!” He looks to his father and asks:

“What’s going on?” The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.” And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!” The voice answers: “I admire you!”

Again the man screams: “You are a champion!” The voice answers: “You are a champion!” The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains:

“People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.

If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it.”

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT’S A REFLECTION OF YOU!

Can u judge who is the better person out of these 3 ?

Can u judge who is the better person out of these 3 ?

Mr A - He had frienship with bad politicians, consults astrologers, two wives, chain smoker, drinks eight to 10 times a day.

Mr B - He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps till noon, used opium in college & drinks whiskey every evening.

Mr C - He is a decorated war hero,a vegetarian, doesn't smoke , doesn't drink  and never cheated on his wife.

You would want Mr.C rite.

But..
Mr. A was Franklin Roosevelt!

Mr. B was Winston Churchill!!

Mr C Was ADOLF HITLER!!!

Strange but true..
Its risky to judge anyone by his habits !
Character is a complex phenomenon.

So every person in ur life is important ,don't judge them ,accept them...

...it is an effortless process!!!

Once Buddha was traveling with a few of his followers.
While they were passing a lake, Buddha told one of his disciples, "I am thirsty. Do get me some water from the lake."
The disciple walked up to the lake.
At that moment, a bullock cart started crossing through the lake.
As a result, the water became very muddy and turbid.
The disciple thought, "How can I give this muddy water to Buddha to drink?"
So he came back and told Buddha, "The water in there is very muddy. I don't think it is fit to drink."
After about half an hour, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back
to the lake.
The disciple went back, and found that the water was still muddy.
He returned and informed Buddha about the same.
After sometime, again Buddha asked the same disciple to go back.
This time, the disciple found the mud had settled down, and the water was clean and clear.
So he collected some water in a pot and brought it to Buddha.
Buddha looked at the water, and then he looked up at the disciple and said, "See what you did to make the water clean. You let it be, and the mud settled down on its own, and you have clear water."
Your mind is like that too ! When it is disturbed, just let it be. Give it a little time. It will settle down on its own.
You don't have to put in any effort to calm it down.
It will happen. It is effortless."
Having 'Peace of Mind' is not a strenuous job, it is an effortless process

...and bravery will take its place.

One cowardly person came to a master of martial arts and asked to teach him bravery. The master looked at him and said:
– I will teach you only with one condition: one month you will have to live in a big city and tell every person that you meet on your way that you are a coward. You will have to say it loudly, openly and looking straight into the person’s eyes.
The person got really sad, because this task seemed very scary to him. For a couple of days he was very sad and thoughtful, but to live with his cowardice was so unbearable that he travelled to the city to accomplish his mission.
At first, when meeting the passers, he quailed, lost his speech and couldn’t contact anyone. But he needed to finish the master’s task, so he began to overcome himself. When he came up to his first passer to tell about his cowardice, it seemed to him that he would die from fear. But his voice sounded louder and more confident with every passing day. Suddenly came a moment, when the man caught himself thinking that he’s not scared anymore, and the further he continued doing the master’s task, the more convinced he was that the fear was abandoning him. That way a month had passed. The person came back to the master, bowed to him and said:
– Thank you, teacher. I finished your task. Now I’m not afraid anymore. But how did you know that this strange task will help me?
– The thing is that cowardice is only a habit. And by doing the things that scare us, we can destroy the stereotypes and come to a conclusion that you came to. And now you know that bravery – is also a habit. And if you want to make bravery a part of yourself- you need to move forward into the fear. Then the fear will go away, and bravery will take its place.

A GRADE DOES NOT MAKE YOUR CHILD

Once you go into the elementary, high school and college levels, you are entering into the world of percentile grades, grade point averages and "ranking" in class. It's great when your child gets good grades, and we hope that your child's love for learning will continue. But be careful not to fall into the trap of pressuring your child into doing things solely to get a high grade.

Similarly, if your child gets an average or low grade in subjects, do not treat him with disdain. In both cases, your child will feel and think that his value as a person is tied into his grade. That's like saying that your value as an adult, as a person, is dependent upon your salary or position in a company.

A GRADE DOES NOT MAKE YOUR CHILD. Your child is NOT a number. He is a complex being who has so many other valuable characteristics that are missed by people who are giving him the grade. Grades only reflect a cumulative score of correct answers, or the value that the teacher is willing to give you for the work you have produced.

Just as salaries simply reflect what a company can afford to give you for the service you are rendering to it, and your position reflects your scope of responsibility in the company. Grades, (or salaries and positions for that matter) do NOT reflect a person's character, individuality, thoughts, dreams, aspirations and unrealized potential, which are far more important than just getting the right answers to a written test.

So no matter what grade your child gets, treat him the way he deserves to be treated: With a great deal of RESPECT and a whole lot of LOVE. A GRADE DOES NOT MAKE YOUR CHILD.
